A new school year started in September of 2003 and brought with it a new Assistant Director of music to
King Edward VI School, Stratford upon Avon. Richard Meehan came to the school from Yately School in the south east of
England and brought with him the concept of joining an elite selection of musicians from K.E.S and forming a Big
Band. This concept came into practice and King Eddies Revival Big Band was born.
In July 2004, after a successful first year, the band recorded their first CD, "...One Year On". It was
a great experience for the whole band and the CD has been a great success and if anyone is interested in buying a copy,
please contact one of the band members or Mr. Meehan.

In the following years, we have acquired much more music and gained much more experience at playing live gigs.
The annual May Ball held at the school is always a brilliant gig and 300+ people come to support the band. We also had
the good fortune to be invited to play at the infamous 100 Club on Oxford Street in Feb. 2007, an invaluable opportunity to
perform at a genuine jazz club to a crowd of seasoned musicians. The gig was quite possibly the most memorable performance
in the band's history (so far!!) and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
