King Eddies Revival Big Band

09/01/04 - Supporting The Groove Syndicate

This Gig went exceptionally well, our set went smoothly and the sound was awesome.  Afterwards our playing was described by a big band fanatic as "amazingly tight", a huge compliment.  After our set several of the band members went and danced to the Groove Syndicate's final few songs.  Many thanks to Richard Meehan for preparing us for the gig.  Special thanks to Dan "the Man" Hamilton for filling in on the drums in Pete's absence, who was unable to attend due to having the shingles.

We played a 5 song set for this gig,
1.) Little Brown Jug, Glenn Miller, solos by Teddy T, Tom "double" Sharp and Richard "the Maestro" Meehan
2.) Moon River, Henry Mancini, solos by Richard "the Maestro" Meehan and Dunc "the Ape" Akehurst
3.) A Small Funky Head, Richard Meehan and  Nick Townsend, solos by Ed Hogg, Twiggy, Tom "Double" Sharp, Teddy T, Will "the Arch" Deacon, Elliot Rooney and Tom Vikery
4.) In The Mood, Glenn Miller, solos by Teddy T, Will "the Arch" Deacon and Tom "Double" Sharp
