King Eddies Revival Big Band
23/07/05 - Hampton Lucy Wedding Reception

The wedding of Georgina Hunter and William Fradgely took place on a grey but pleasant Saturday and the band were invited to play at the reception at the Hunter residence in Hampton Lucy.  The school's King's Brass had played at the wedding service itself already and KERBB were ready to impress.  The crowd were happy but sadly a bit too occupied with their conversations to appreciate the band's great sounds.  But we were not completely ignored and the band enjoyed the first set.  But then (because the wedding itself had over-run) the speeches took too long and unfortunately the band did not have the time to play the second set (because parents were waiting and we were not being paid past 7.00 pm!) This particularly irritated the unluky Will Robinson whose songs were all in the second set.  For several members: Will Deacon, Adrian Birch, Adrian McCusker, Steve Chan and Dan Hamilton, this gig was their last with KERBB as they move onto "greater things".  Congratulations to the bride and groom and a big thank you to all who supported us and particularly to Elliott Rooney who returned to fill in for George Nava who was absent from his piano stool.
