King Eddies Revival Big Band
16/07/07 - K.E.S End of Year Concert

As another school year drew to a close, another brilliant end of year concert was held to celebrate a year of excellent music-making.  As usual a huge variety of solo  and ensemble performances made the evening a great success and King Eddies Revival Big Band finished the night in good style.  However the band was missing four principal players (Dave Twigg, Rob Busiakiewicz, Tom Sharp and Rich Harrison) due to a Warwickshire Youth Jazz Orchestra tour so the band shifted its shape a little to accomodate the absentees.  This gig also marked the last performances for three members - George Nava, Ed Evans and Ernest Amoako, all of whom have contributed to the band's success greatly over the last few years.  The pieces in this gig were all very well received with James Dargan singing three numbers brilliantly and Ernest performing the Nina Simone classic Mr. Bojangles with awesome style.  A nice rest follows and the band will be back up and running with some new members in September.

1) Let There Be Love by Ian Grant and Lionel Rand with vocals from James "The Dragan" Dargan.
2) Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio (arr.RMM), with vocals from The Dragan.
3) Mr. Bojangles by Jerry Jeff Walker with vocals from Ernest Amoako.

Encore -
4) I Saw Her Standing There by Lennon and McCartney, vocals from The Dragan, solos from Tom English and Kieran Ford.
